1928

Geelong Gallery opened the Henry Percival Douglass Memorial Gallery in 1928.

The new space was an ideal setting to exhibit a larger selection of the permanent collection, which had quickly outgrown its previous location in the G M Hitchcock Memorial Art Gallery.

In 2021, the H P Douglass Memorial Gallery space was transformed for RONE in Geelong, a ground-breaking exhibition for Geelong Gallery.
