Welcome to the Keys to the Collection. We hope to inspire you to engage with the Gallery’s collections and exhibitions through programs and resources promoting curiosity, a willingness to explore and a sustained motivation for learning.

Keys to the collection provides students and teachers with an online interactive resource linked to the Gallery’s permanent collection and learning programs.

Educators and students are able to personalise their study to obtain higher ongoing levels in learning and expand perspectives for research, pre and post Gallery learning through a process of active engagement with the collection and resulting experiences across the Victorian Curriculum, Foundation–10 learning domains.

Keys to the collection have been categorised into a number of themes:
