For students—STEM: an interdisciplinary curriculum

11 September 9.30am to 11.30am
(Workshop 2: 12.30pm to 2.30pm )

Victorian Curriculum levels 4 to 9

These workshops explore the techniques and processes used in Elizabeth Gower’s artwork and provide the opportunity to engage in learning through an integrated STEM-focused program. These fun yet challenging activities seek to build confidence and skills for the future.

Gower recycles and collages remnants of popular culture to create exquisite optical patterns and explore ideas of consumerism and consumption. Her work typically involves cutting up and intricately collaging—onto drafting film, canvas or paper surfaces—collected printed ephemera, packaging material and magazine pages.
